3M™ Polyester Tape 8992 is a dark green polyester tape with silicone adhesive, developed for high-temperature industrial processes. Its polyester backing provides thermal, abrasion and chemical resistance while remaining flexible, and the silicone adhesive is designed for applications where conventional rubber or acrylic adhesives may soften, ooze or transfer.The tape is particularly suited to powder-coat masking, flashbreaker applications, vacuum-bag processing, and bonding or holding tasks involving difficult-to-adhere surfaces such as silicone-treated materials.
