Loctite 567 Thread Sealant(bottle)

Loctite 567 is a low-strength, off-white anaerobic thread sealant specially designed for the locking and sealing of metal tapered threads and fittings. A premium PTFE-free alternative to thread tape, Loctite 567 prevents galling on stainless steel and aluminium pipe threads while providing robust sealing performance on all standard metal pipe fittings.

This single-component methacrylate ester anaerobic sealant cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. Loctite 567 is NSF/ANSI Standard 61 certified for potable water systems, Australian Gas Association approved (rated to 2000 kPa, –10°C to 205°C), UL classified, and Hydrogen Certified (GASTEC QA AR-214).

How to Use Loctite 567

1. Clean all surfaces with Loctite cleaning solvent and allow to dry.
2. For inactive metals or slow cure, spray with Activator SF 7471™ or SF 7649™.
3. Apply a 360° bead to the leading threads of the male fitting, leaving the first thread free; apply to female threads on large fittings.
4. Assemble and wrench-tighten in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
5. Fittings will seal instantly to moderate pressures; for full pressure resistance allow 24 hours.
6. For potable water applications, remove excess uncured product with a lint-free cloth and Loctite SF 7063.
