LOCTITE® 577™ thread sealant is a medium-strength anaerobic sealant formulated for metal threaded pipes and fittings. Its yellow, high-viscosity paste fills the small spaces between mating threads and cures when enclosed between metal surfaces with limited air exposure. The cured material helps prevent leakage and reduces the risk of joints loosening under vibration or mechanical shock.This sealant is suitable for both reactive metals, such as brass and copper, and less-reactive surfaces, including stainless steel and plated metals.
