Loctite 510 is a general-purpose, single-component anaerobic gasketing and sealing compound designed for close-fitting metal flange applications. Suitable for both hand dispensing and screen printing, Loctite 510 sealant cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, making it a versatile choice for high-volume manufacturing and maintenance gasketing alike.

This dimethacrylate ester anaerobic sealant is NSF Category P1 registered for use as a sealant where there is no possibility of food contact, and Australian Gas Association approved (Class II, 500 kPa, up to 200°C). How to Use Loctite 510

1. Ensure bond surfaces are clean and free from grease.
2. Designed for close-fitting flanged parts with gaps up to 0.25 mm.
3. Apply manually as a continuous bead, rolled film, or by screen printing to one flange surface; for gaps over 0.125 mm, apply a rolled film to both surfaces using a pen roller.
4. Low pressures (<0.05 MPa) may be used to confirm a complete seal immediately after assembly.
5. Tighten flanges as soon as possible after assembly to avoid shimming.
6. For cleanup: soak in a Loctite solvent (e.g. Loctite 7200) and remove mechanically with a soft scraper.
