Key Features

Siliconized CS+ offers a maximum gap-filling capacity of 6mm, making it suitable for typical construction and connection joints around the home or job site. It's colorfast and waterproof after curing, can be painted over with water-based paint systems, and delivers very good adhesion on porous surfaces, aluminium, and wood. The siliconized formulation improves flexibility and weather resistance compared to standard acrylic caulks while retaining the easy water-based application and cleanup that contractors expect from acrylic sealants.

Performance Data

Siliconized CS+ has a specific gravity of 1.67±0.05 g/ml, forms a skin in approximately 20 minutes, and shows shrinkage of approximately 15% per DIN 52451. The product accommodates joint movement up to ±12.5%, with a temperature resistance range of -20°C to +80°C and an application temperature window of +5°C to +30°C — comfortably covering most ambient construction conditions.

Applications

Soudal CS White is used for joints with movement up to 12.5%, connection joints in the building industry, and joints between windowsills, skirting boards and floors, and brickwork. It is not suitable for glass and mirror applications, where a structural silicone or specialized glazing sealant would be more appropriate. Highly porous surfaces should be primed with a diluted CS+ solution (1 part product to 2 parts water) for maximum adhesion.

Directions for Use

Apply with a manual, pneumatic, or battery-operated caulking gun. The substrate must be rigid, clean, dry, and free of dust and grease for best adhesion. Before curing, Siliconized CS+ can be cleaned from tools and substrates with water; cured material must be removed mechanically. Finish with a spatula or putty knife, and maintain recommended joint dimensions of 5–20mm width with a minimum 5mm depth, using PE backer rods for wider joints. Avoid use in continuous water immersion applications, and test paint compatibility before overcoating.
