Gen 750 delivers excellent stability with no shrinkage or post-expansion after curing, high filling capacity for cavities and gaps, and good adhesion on all surfaces except PE, PP, and PTFE. As a Freon-free formula, Gen 750 is manufactured without ozone-depleting propellants, though the product itself is not UV-resistant and needs a protective top layer if exposed to sunlight.

Gen 750 forms a skin in approximately 8–10 minutes and has a cutting time of roughly 25–35 minutes, with full curing of a 30mm bead taking approximately 95 minutes. Cured density measures approximately 25 kg/m³, with each 750ml can yielding approximately 21 meters of foam in joint applications. Shrinkage and post-expansion are both kept below 2%, with a cellular structure of approximately 70% closed cells. The foam carries a B3 fire rating per DIN 4102 and a thermal insulation factor of 35 mW/m·K, with sound insulation in the 50–60dB range. Compressive strength measures approximately 2.0 N/cm² and shear strength approximately 5.0 N/cm², with water absorption around 1% by volume and temperature resistance from -40°C to +90°C once cured.

Applications

Soudal Gen 750 is used for installing window and door frames, filling cavities, sealing openings in roof constructions, applying acoustic baffles, and improving thermal insulation in cooling systems — the standard general-purpose expanding foam for construction and insulation work.

Directions for Use

Shake the aerosol can for at least 20 seconds, fit the appropriate adapter, and moisten surfaces with a water sprayer before application to improve adhesion and cure quality. Fill holes and cavities to about 50% capacity, as the foam will expand significantly. Repeat shaking during extended application sessions. Fresh foam removes with Soudal Foam Cleaner or acetone; cured foam requires mechanical removal. Protect cured PU foam from UV exposure with a paint or sealant top coat.
