The product physically dries (rather than chemically curing), which contributes to its strong adhesion on porous building substrates while remaining unsuitable for non-porous plastics like PE, PP, and PTFE, or copper-containing metals such as bronze and brass.

Directions for Use

Apply with a handheld or pneumatic caulking gun, smoothing the sealant with a filling knife. Application temperature should be between -5°C and +35°C, avoiding application when rain or frost is imminent. Uncured Acryrub Exterior cleans up with water from tools, while cured sealant requires mechanical removal. Recommended joint dimensions are 5–20mm in width with a minimum depth of 5mm, using PE backer rods for larger joints to avoid three-sided adhesion. This product should not be used in continuous water immersion applications, and a compatibility test is recommended before painting, since the paint must be sufficiently elastic to flex with the plasto-elastic sealant beneath it.
