Shrinkage per DIN 52451 testing comes in at approximately 15%, with a temperature resistance range of -20°C to +80°C and an application temperature window of +5°C to +30°C. Recommended joint dimensions run from 5mm to 20mm in width with a minimum depth of 5mm, following the rule that joint depth should match joint width for the best long-term seal.

Applications

Acryrub Pro+ is designed for joints with movement up to 12.5%, connection joints in the building industry, and joints around windowsills and brickwork. Highly porous surfaces benefit from priming with diluted Acryrub Pro+ (one part product to two parts water) before final application, ensuring deep, durable adhesion on plaster, masonry, and similar absorbent substrates.

Directions for Use

Apply the product with a manual, pneumatic, or battery-operated caulking gun. Before curing, Acryrub Pro+ can be removed from substrates and tools with water; cured sealant must be removed mechanically. Finish with a spatula or putty knife for a smooth, professional bead. Acryrub Pro+ has good adhesion to all common porous building substrates but is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon), bituminous substrates, copper, or copper-containing materials like bronze and brass — always run a preliminary adhesion test on unfamiliar surfaces. Do not apply when rain or frost is imminent, and confirm paint compatibility before overcoating, since the paint must be elastic enough to move with the plasto-elastic sealant beneath it.
