Performance Data

Fill & Fix Foam forms a skin in approximately 8 minutes at 20°C/65% RH and reaches dust-free status within 20–25 minutes, with a curing time of roughly 1.5 hours for a 30mm bead. Each 1000ml of product yields approximately 30–35 liters of cured foam, with a cellular structure of roughly 70–80% closed cells for good insulation performance. Cured density measures approximately 25kg/m³, with a fire classification of B3 (DIN 4102 Part 2), thermal insulation factor of 33 mW/mK, and temperature resistance from -40°C to +90°C once cured. Sound insulation testing shows an Rst,w rating of 58dB.

Applications

Fill & Fix Foam is used for installing window and door frames, filling cavities, sealing openings in roof constructions, creating soundproof screens, connecting insulation materials in roof assemblies, improving thermal insulation in cooling systems, and installing air conditioning units. Its hand-held, straw-adapter format makes it especially convenient for smaller jobs, touch-ups, and situations where a full foam gun isn't practical.

Directions for Use

Shake the aerosol can for at least 20 seconds before use, then fit the straw adapter onto the valve. Moisten surfaces with a water sprayer prior to application to improve adhesion and cellular density. Fill cavities only about 50% full, as the foam will expand significantly. Repeat shaking regularly during extended application sessions, and re-moisten surfaces between layers if working in multiple passes. Fresh, uncured foam can be removed with Soudal Foam Cleaner or acetone; cured foam can only be removed mechanically. Cured PU foam must be protected from UV radiation with a top coat of paint or a compatible sealant such as silicone, MS Polymer, or acrylic.
