Performance Data

Soudafoam 1K has a cured density of approximately 29 kg/m³, with shrinkage after curing kept below 1% and expansion during curing of approximately 167%. The cured foam shows approximately 7% closed-cell structure, compressive strength of approximately 22 kPa, shear strength of approximately 39 kPa, and tensile strength of approximately 80 kPa, with elongation at maximum force around 16.7%. A 750ml can yields approximately 19 meters of foam, and the cured product resists temperatures from -40°C to +90°C. Shelf life runs 18 months unopened when stored upright between 5°C and 25°C.

Applications

Soudafoam 1K is used for the installation of window and door frames, filling cavities, sealing all openings in roof constructions, creating soundproof screens, mounting and sealing window and door frames, connecting insulation materials in roof construction, applying soundproofing layers, improving thermal insulation in cooling systems, and installing air conditioners.

Directions for Use

Shake the aerosol can for at least 20 seconds before use, fit the adapter onto the valve, and moisten surfaces with a water sprayer prior to application for improved adhesion and cellular density. Remove pressure from the applicator to stop dispensing. Fill cavities to about 50% capacity, as the foam will expand significantly. Repeat shaking regularly during application, re-moistening between layers when working in passes. Fresh foam removes with Soudal Foam Cleaner or acetone; cured foam requires mechanical removal. Working temperature range is 5°C to 35°C, with 20–25°C recommended for optimal results.
